Tag | End of Year Book Tag (2018)

My favourite (and least favourite) books of the year!

And what a year it’s been! I feel like I haven’t had the opportunity to say this in a really long time, but this year has been my favourite yet. Lots of life changes have resulted in not a lot of reading – but I’m determined to change that in 2019!

One | Are there any books you started this year you need to finish?

This is the one I’m most ashamed of because I freaking love Brandon Sanderson! Somehow, it’s literally taken me all year to finish Words of Radiance… and not the whole book, but just part one. I know, shocking. Like I’ve said in my Crossroads for this month, it’s not that I don’t love the book – it’s just the kind of book that demands a lot of attention and I simply haven’t had the time (or energy:()! That being said, I’m less than 50 pages away and I will finish it today! Verrrrry excited.

Two | Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?

I’m not really a seasonal reader – so in short, no. However! I do have my TBR written out for January (something I haven’t done in a very long time) which I’ll publish once the year rolls over.

Three | Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

I’ve been out of the game for so long, I don’t even know what’s due to come out anymore!

Four | What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

Even though there are only 3 days left of 2018 at the time I’m writing this, I actually have some entries for this question (mwahahaha)! Like I said above, Words of Radiance part 1, I’m also two hours away from finishing the audiobook of Libba Bray’s The Diviners which has been fantastic!

Five | Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your favourite?

Again, 3 days away so, no.

Six | Have you already made reading plans for 2019?

I think a lot of the plan mostly revolves around actually reading. I’ve got some low key strategies I’m trying to work out with my bullet journal, as well as some read-a-thons I’m planning on joining. Outside of that, I do have big reading plans for 2019, some of which I will be revealing shortly, so stay tuned *wink wink*

I’m flying out to the Gold Coast tomorrow to spend some serious tanning time on the beach and hopefully get a good view of the fireworks! Hoping you all have a fun (but safe) New Year! ❤

Much love,
xo Pattycakes
